The challenges involved in the commercialization of a new invention are enormous-at EmTec we facilitate the successful commercialization process. EmTec is staffed with business and technology professionals who provide the necessary expertise and information for successful technology commercialization strategies, intellectual property management and international networking.

EmTec's mission is to act as a “technology scout” for developing countries- assessing the commercial prospects of inventions and business proposals and promoting the most promising opportunities by providing access to financial assistance and support services. These services include the following:

• Searching and reviewing inventions and technologies in the field of biotechnology and licensing those inventions with the greatest potential for commercial success



• Providing business and financial assistance, such as funding contract research and manufacturing during the development and commercialization of high potential inventions identified in the evaluation process



• Creating partnerships with potential institutional investors, multinational companies, venture capital funds, and investment and development banks to acquire further financial support for commercialization



• Training courses on all aspects of intellectual property rights management issues
